Build the capture-to-cash platform
Updrone is a small team building hard things — an in-house 3D processing engine, a universal capture client, and our own e-signature. We own the parts that compound into a moat, and we'd rather build the core than rent it.
The work
One capture should become a 3D scene and a measurable deliverable, attached to a customer and an invoice, without leaving the platform. Making that true means owning the whole path — universal ingest from phone, drone and 360, precision processing, and a CRM-native operating system where the scene is the customer record.
That is a lot of hard surface area for a small team, which is the point. The engineering that matters here is the kind most companies in this market buy from a vendor and never understand. We'd rather build it, own it, and keep getting better at it.
How the team works
Build the core, don't rent it
The processing engine, the capture client, the e-signature — anything that compounds into the moat, we build and own. We integrate only where it plainly isn't core, like payment rails and message transport.
Research-first
We ground every build in current research, benchmark the open state of the art each cycle, then adopt or improve on it. Nobody here ships a kernel they can't reason about.
Radical simplicity
Simple surface, complex core. The customer gets a plan set, not a panel of SfM and splat settings. The hard part hides in the engine, and one obvious path stays on the surface.
Software, not services
Updrone is the platform underneath a drone-capture business. Each tenant is the professional of record for its own flights, pilots, airspace, insurance, and accuracy sign-off — we never fly, pilot, certify, or authorize anything.
Open roles
We don't have any public openings right now. That's the honest answer — we'd rather say so than post roles we aren't actively hiring for.
